Edbro are the number one manufacturer of hydraulic truck tipping hoists and waste management equipment in the world.
Their facilities include many automated and semi automated manufacturing cells incorporating machining centres, laser welders, friction welders etc. AEG have worked with Edbro’s team to help specify the optimal manufacturing approach and equipment in new cells as well as to identify and improve throughput in others.
Working closely with the operators the OEE of
individual machines within a cell and the dynamic effects of this on the throughput of the whole
cell have been determined. This work has allowed the operators and the engineering team not only
to identify improvement opportunities, but to distil these opportunities down into a focused
improvement plan.
